Digital Cameras

Digital photography is quickly becoming the norm for reproducing fine art. While transparencies still remain, at the moment, the traditional method for preserving and duplicating images, digital photography's benefits outweigh transparencies' and thus is gaining more and more popularity.

For the purpose of reproducing art, the term "digital imaging" is often used when referring to the task of using digital photography equipment for art reproduction and archiving purposes. Among some of the benefits of digital imaging are, high resolution clean images, effective image storage and accurate color reproduction.

We recommend Phase One digital imaging equipment and we use the Phase One PowerPhase digital camera back in our own studio.

For more information regarding the quality of digital imaging and the applications of it, please read the quality comparisons on the topic of digital imaging versus film and the reviews of Phase One equipment by leading photography magazines, PEI and Fotografi.
